MANTRA – THE PHILOSOPHY OF tac.
Valentine’s journey from an extremely sick asthmatic to a consciously healthy person living with asthma evolved over the course of her illness. There are three major factors that assisted in her recovery. She would like to share these with you as these three principles now guide her daily decisions and lifestyle and have aided her on her road to better health and better living. These factors are Conscious Consumption, Conscious Healing & Conscious Learning.
Conscious learning is taking the time to invest in the education you require to assist you in improving your health. With the way the medical professional operates here in Australia, it does rely heavily on the individual to do a lot of their own research and to find the right medical practitioner(s) for your own individual issues. In Valentine’s own experience, she saw many specialists over the years. She found that the asthma specialists at the leading hospitals excellent in their field and for providing the right asthma medication for treating attacks, mild or severe, and for controlling the symptoms of Asthma.
But it took a lot longer to find the right practitioner to treat Valentine’s issues as a holistic whole – to really treat the underlying causes of her issues and to build back up her immune system. Eastern Medicine has been treating the whole body for thousands of years and fortunately for Valentine, she found the right practitioner to help her. Do your own online research and talk to other asthma sufferers – often through word of mouth you can get great referrals to the right practitioner for you. Be persistent and ask a lot of questions. Don’t assume that your GP or asthma specialist know everything. In our experience, they are great in their own specific field of expertise, but if you are seeking answers to your overall health, then you need to look further afield.
Above all have an open mind and be willing to explore alternative medicine if you feel confident to do so. Consciously educate yourself in ways to help yourself heal – what works for Valentine might not be right for you but by looking for answers you will eventually find the right help. Whatever you do, don’t put up with being sick and letting asthma ruin or impede your life.
